A Child’s Place has been providing before & after care as well as kindergarten enrichment programs since 2003. Each of our locations is licensed by the Department of Public Welfare and adheres to its rules and regulations including teacher/student ratios.
A Child’s Place is committed to providing the highest quality of care for the families we serve. With that purpose in mind, we hire only the most qualified staff. Preference in hiring is given to individuals with relevant degrees and experience working with elementary age children. All our employees are required to have criminal, child abuse and FBI clearances as well as current CPR and First Aid Training. Before School Program
The before care program will operate from 7:00 a.m. to the start of the school day.
After School Program
The after care program will operate from the end of the school day to 6:00 p.m. If offered at your school, the enrichment programs hours are determined by your child’s A.M./P.M. kindergarten schedule.

Our before & after care program offers a convenient child care solution for working parents. The program will be operated out of all ten elementary schools and our extended hours accommodate most work schedules. While the before & after care programs adhere to a daily schedule, the atmosphere is fun and relaxed allowing the children time to explore hobbies, play games and engage in athletic activities. We provide an elective homework club with adults supervising and assisting children in completing homework assignments on a daily basis. Depending on the interests of the children, various other clubs will be offered at the schools including Music Club, Drama Club, Science Club and Newspaper/Literary Club. The children are provided with a snack in the afternoon and taken outside every day weather permitting. We offer care on a full-time, part-time and drop-in basis.
Day Off- Program
Mary C. Howse and East Goshen Elementary will be the designated day off schools.
